Foreign job opportunities for Sri Lankan workers are on the rise.
0 Comments Published September 19th, 2010 in EconomyThe Foreign Employment Bureau of Sri Lanka says the number of individuals who went abroad for foreign employment during the first six months of this year has increased by 15 percent when compared to the respective period last year. Accordingly, over 134,000 Sri Lankans have migrated for foreign employment during that period. Sri Lanka has received a significant number of job opportunities from Qatar, South Korea, Kuwait, UAE, Libya and Malaysia. The Bureau says foreign job opportunities for Sri Lankan house maids have also increased by 12 percent. Sri Lanka expects to earn an income of four billion US dollars from the migrant workers.
