The world-renowned Iranian calligrapher, Nasrollah Afjei is scheduled to mount an exhibition of his works in the capital city of Doha, Qatar.

“I will exhibit 12 Qura’nic works, mostly in the Nasta’liq and Thuluth styles,” the 77-year-old artist told Fars News Agency.

Most of the works feature verses from Al-Fatihah, the first sura of the holy Qur’an, which consists of prayers for God’s guidance, stressing his lordship and mercy.

Afjei has held numerous exhibitions in Iran, France, the UK, Indonesia, Italy, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

He has also participated in Switzerland's International Calligraphy Exhibition of Ball and the Iranian Art Festival in Dusseldorf, Germany.
